What is Paratransit?
Paratransit is an alternative mode of flexible passenger transportation that does not follow fixed routes or schedules.

Who offers Paratransit service in the Foothill Transit area?
Access Services provides curb-to-curb shared-ride service within ? mile of fixed-route bus and rail lines throughout Los Angeles County.

What is a Paratransit ride like?
Since it is a shared-ride service, several riders will be transported at one time in the same vehicle. Passengers will be picked up and dropped off at the curb (not at the door). Travel time will be similar to that of a fixed-route bus.

How much does it cost?
Fares are based on the distance traveled, with a maximum one-way fare of $3.50 (except to/from the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys).

What are the hours of service?
Regular service is offered from 4:00 am to 12:00 am, 7 days a week. Limited overnight service is available from 12:00 am to 4:00 am.

How do I find out if I am eligible?
To find out if you are eligible for Access Services, visit the “Gaining Eligibility” page at Please note that Access may not be able to transport a wheelchair or mobility device larger than 30” wide, 48” long or weighing more than 600 lbs when occupied.
